Interior architecture course focus on the processes by which enclosed environments and spaces are designed and used. The programs supply students with fundamental knowledge of the design of interior spaces through a combination on classroom and studio work.  Students also work on advanced topics that will help them in professional practice. They learn to incorporate their design ideas into plans which will conform to building codes and user needs. Studio work gives them hands-on experience. Graduates can apply for licensing as an interior design professional, which is required in all states.

Interior Architecture may refer to:

  • The art and science of designing and erecting building interiors
  • The practice of an interior architect, where architecture means to offer or render professional services in connection with the design and construction of a building's interior
  • A general term to describe building interiors and related physical features.
  • A style or method of design and construction of building interiors and related physical features.


 What You Learn

The program teaches the many factors that influence the design in interior spaces and environments. This includes technical, social, cultural, economic and physical factors. Students learn to provide creative and functional designs for a variety of interior environments.

With an emphasis placed on studio learning, the curriculum incorporates hands-on design in order to help students gain experience. They can also build a strong portfolio.

Program coursework explores the theory, practice and technology of interior architecture. Traditional architecture courses are incorporated into the curriculum. Studio topics often focus on contemporary design issues.

This program provides a comprehensive design curriculum that teaches students to transform conceptual design ideas into detailed interior design solutions. They take into consideration building codes and standards, user needs, cost and existing building constraints. Students gain an advanced understanding of factors that influence the design of interior spaces, such as aesthetics and building technology. They learn to make informed design decisions based on the welfare and safety of the public.

How You Learn

Some of the highlights of the course are:-

The course is offered in collaboration with Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA) of Kingston University and degree is awarded by Kingston University

Course starts with Foundation Program (first year study) which acts as a bridge between high-school education and the niche program of art & design study. Clearing the foundation program is mandatory.

  • Software Skill – Creative CAD with application of tools on real-time project.

Application Process


Interested candidates must have appeared/passed the CBSE/ ISCE/ ISC/Regional Board (or any other equivalent board) 10+2 examination in any discipline. Candidates who have recently appeared for the examination and are awaiting their results may also apply.
